11+ Vocab Trainer is an online vocabulary learning tool for children preparing for the 11+ and other selective school entrance exams.

We take children’s privacy seriously. The app is designed to collect only the information needed to provide the learning service, track progress, protect accounts, and operate subscriptions.
2. Who the app is for
11+ Vocab Trainer is intended for use by children with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.
Parents or guardians should create and manage the account. Children should use a nickname rather than their real full name, especially for leaderboard use.
3. Information we collect

- Parent or guardian email address
- Password, stored securely by our authentication provider
- Child nickname or username
- Exam year or cohort selected during onboarding
Learning and progress information
- Words practised
- Correct and incorrect answers
- Vocabulary progress and review status
- Words mastered
- XP, streaks and daily progress
- Diagnostic level and target vocabulary level
- Leaderboard position based on learning progress
Payment and subscription information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or full payment details. We may receive limited payment-related information from Stripe, such as:
- Payment status
- Subscription status
- Customer reference
- Transaction confirmation
Technical information
We may collect limited technical information needed to keep the service secure and working properly, such as:
- Browser type
- Device type
- Basic usage logs
- Error information
- Approximate technical data related to site performance
4. Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- A child’s full legal name
- A child’s postal address
- A child’s precise location
- A child’s school name, unless you choose to tell us directly
- Sensitive personal information
- Private messages between children
- Photos, videos or voice recordings of children
The app does not include social messaging between users.
5. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure user accounts
- Let children practise vocabulary
- Personalise vocabulary review using spaced repetition
- Track progress, XP, streaks and words mastered
- Place users into the correct exam-year leaderboard
- Manage free and paid access
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Provide support to parents or guardians
- Improve the app and fix technical issues
- Keep the service safe and prevent misuse
6. Our lawful basis for using personal information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the situation, this may include:
- Contract: to provide the app and subscription service you have requested.
- Legitimate interests: to improve, secure and maintain the service, provided this does not override the rights and interests of children or parents.
- Consent: where consent is required, such as for optional marketing emails or non-essential cookies.

7. Children’s privacy and safety
Because 11+ Vocab Trainer is likely to be used by children, we aim to apply a high-privacy approach by default.

- We ask children to use a nickname rather than their full name.
- We collect only the data needed to provide the learning service.
- We do not sell children’s personal information.
- We do not show third-party ads inside the app.
- We do not allow children to message each other.

- Leaderboards are based on learning progress, not personal details.
Parents or guardians can contact us at any time to ask about their child’s account or request deletion of account data.
8. Leaderboards
The app may include leaderboards showing progress such as words mastered, XP or streaks. Leaderboards are intended to be motivational and educational. They should not display a child’s full real name. Please choose a nickname when creating an account.
We may display:
- Nickname or username
- Exam-year cohort
- Words mastered
- XP
- Streak
- Rank or position

9. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes payment details securely. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe may process personal data according to its own privacy policy.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and app may use essential cookies or similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in
- Remember account/session information
- Support secure payment and authentication
- Keep the app working properly
If we use analytics, advertising pixels or non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.
11. Marketing
We may send service emails about your account, payment, subscription or important product updates.
We will only send optional marketing emails where we have permission or another lawful basis to do so. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
We do not knowingly send marketing emails directly to children.
